Is A Pet Rabbit Right For You?

Did you know that rabbits are the fastest growing pets in popularity in United States? Then how come they are in third position of the most euthanised pets? The sole purpose of this blog is to help anybody to make the decision on weather or not to adopt a pet rabbit.Should you and your family agree to make the comittement, please do not buy your bunny at a pet store or from a breeder. There are plenty of rabbits in your local animal shelter that are in need for good homes.

  1. I think the reason rabbits are the third most euthanised pets is because most people donot know how to take care of the health of their rabbit. I know one person with a rabbit that had to be euthanised after being bitten by his own dog. He should have taken a course on how to stop dog aggression to deal with his dog's aggressive behavior.

  2. That is very sad. People simply don't realize that when they get a pet it is a responsibility just like a child.

But to resort to having the pet euthanised is just not right. They could give the pet away. I think that is why people consider hamsters as pets because they don't live long so they wont be tied down more than a couple of years.

  3. Unfortunately people will continue to get rabbits as pets even if they are not really ready to own one.

  5. Getting a rabbit from local animal shelter is always a better choice. I think those animals in the shelter are more in need of a good home.
